Navigation lets you tidy the menu for everyone in your clinic: turn off sections you never use and move the ones you use most to the top. Names stay exactly as they are — you change only what shows and in what order.

What this tab controls

Departments

Departments you switch off in Facility (for example theatre or in-patient care) hide all of their menu items. Those items still appear on this tab, greyed, with a Turn on in Facility settings link. This tab only fine-tunes items inside departments that are on, and it never changes Facility. If you turn a department back on, the choices you made for its items come back with it. Some entries are locked and show Always shown: Dashboard. They are where people land, so they cannot be turned off.

Set it up

1

Open the tab

Go to Settings, then Team, then Navigation.
2

Turn off what you do not use

Switch a section off. To hide just one page, switch off that page under its section.
3

Put the busiest sections first

Use Up and Down beside a section. Check the Menu preview as you go.
4

Save

Select Save. The sidebar and the phone menu update straight away for you, and for everyone else the next time their page loads.

What changes once you save

  • Everyone in the clinic sees the same menu. This is a clinic-wide choice, not a personal one.
  • Hidden means hidden from the menu only. A section you turn off can still be opened from a link or a bookmark, so nobody loses work they have open or a link someone sent them.
  • Who may open what is unchanged. Role navigation still decides which roles can open which pages, and each role still lands where it did.
  • Departments stay in charge. A department switched off in Facility hides its items whatever you choose here.
  • Names do not change. You cannot rename sections here.
  • Get Started appears at the top while your setup is incomplete, whatever you choose.
  • Settings and the Audit Log are never affected.

Check it worked

Look at the sidebar: the sections you turned off are gone and the rest follow your order. On a phone, open the menu and compare. Open a section you hid by its link — it still opens.

Common issues

Only the clinic owner or a manager sees Navigation. Ask one of them to make the change.
That is by design. Turning a section off hides it from the menu; it does not block the page. To stop someone opening a page, use their access settings instead.
A section with nothing under it would be an empty row, so it is left out. Turn one page back on to bring it back.
Either the entry is locked (Always shown), or its department is switched off in Facility settings.
You have not changed anything yet, or your role cannot change the menu.
