Campaigns send from an address you choose, called a sending identity. This tab is where you create it, where you can see how much of the month’s sending allowance you have used, and where the three consent rules a campaign can run under are spelled out. Writing and sending campaigns happens in Marketing.

Reuse an address you already have

Under Use a ClinikMail address you already have, select Use this address beside a mailbox on a domain your hospital owns. The identity appears in the list above, Verified, with the mailbox’s own display name.

Or create a new one

Under Create a sending identity, enter a From address, choose the Domain, enter the Display name recipients will see, and select Create sending identity.

If the form is not there, connect a domain first

Seeing Connect a domain you own with a sentence explaining why means no domain is eligible yet. Select it, add and verify a domain under Mail settings, then return here. The free @clinikmail.com address never qualifies — it is shared with other hospitals, so one hospital’s bulk mail could affect whether everyone else’s appointment reminders arrive.

Read the consent policy before your first campaign

The Consent policy card names the three audience classes. You choose one when you create a campaign, and it cannot be changed after that campaign sends — it is part of the compliance record.

What changes once you save

  • The campaign composer offers the identity as the address to send from. A campaign will not send without one, so this is the first thing to set up.
  • The badge follows the domain. If the domain later stops being verified, the identity shows Pending or Failed and campaigns using it wait until the domain verifies again. Nothing needs re-saving — it returns on its own.
  • Removing an identity is refused while campaigns use it. The message names the count: “This identity is used by 3 campaigns. Remove it from those campaigns first.” Change those campaigns’ sending address, then remove it.
  • The quota figures move as campaigns send. Unused sends roll into next month, up to your plan’s own monthly allowance, and no single campaign can be larger than that allowance.
  • What is not affected: the mailboxes and free address under Mail settings keep working for one-to-one mail exactly as before; appointment reminders and notifications do not send from a sending identity; and nothing on this tab changes which audience class a campaign uses — that is chosen on the campaign.

What each plan includes

Contacts are never limited or charged for. The starter templates supplied with the product never count against Saved templates — only the ones you save yourself do.

Check it worked

Open Marketing in the sidebar and start a new campaign. The sending identity is offered as the address it sends from, and a test send arrives showing the display name you entered.

Common issues

Only owners and managers can configure marketing; anyone else sees “Only clinic owners and managers can configure marketing.” The tab is also absent on the Pharmacy and Diagnostics editions.
The sentence beneath the address says why, and there are only two: “Free ClinikMail addresses are shared with other practices, so campaigns cannot be sent from them. Connect a domain your clinic owns in Mail settings to send campaigns as yourself.” — or “This domain has not finished DNS verification yet. Finish verifying it in Mail settings.” Both point at Mail settings.
No domain your hospital owns has finished verifying. Add one, or finish verifying the one you have, under Mail settings, then come back — the form appears as soon as a domain qualifies.
A scheduled or draft campaign still sends from it. Open those campaigns, choose another sending identity, then remove this one.
The figures did not arrive this time; the identities and consent policy are unaffected. Reload the tab. If it persists, contact support.
