If your practice is genuinely new, you can apply for 2 months of Essential free, reviewed by a person — not an automatic trial. Keep running real clinical work through the second month and the next 3 months come at 75% off, automatically, with nothing else to apply for.

Who this is for

  • Your practice opened within the last 12 months, or has not opened yet.
  • Your clinic has never held a paid ClinikEHR subscription.
If you have already taken the $29.90 introductory trial and it converted to a paid plan, you are not eligible — you have already started. If you took the trial and it simply expired, you can still apply. A clinic that has ever paid for Essential, Team or Enterprise cannot apply, whichever door it came in through. You can be on the Free plan while your application is reviewed — nothing about applying changes what you can do in the meantime.

The two phases

Apply, with your Account ID

Fill in your name, work email, practice name, country, specialty and opening date (or say the practice has not opened yet) — and your practice’s Account ID. See Find your Account ID if you do not have an account yet, create one first — the application needs a real Account ID to attach the grant to.

We decide within 2 business days

A person reviews every application — approval is a plain yes or no, so there is nothing to negotiate and no reason a decision should take longer.

Accept through Checkout, at $0

An approval arrives by email with a one-time acceptance link, valid for 14 days. Accepting starts a real Essential subscription with a card on file — the first charge is $0, and it stays that way for the first 2 months.

Month 2: the bar

By the end of your second free month, having at least 10 patients on file, at least 10 completed appointments and at least 5 clinical records written switches on the second phase automatically.

Months 3–5: 75% off, if you met the bar

No second application. If the bar was met, Essential renews at roughly a quarter of its normal price for 3 months.

The bar, and why there is one

The 75%-off phase exists for a practice actually running on ClinikEHR — not one that logged in a handful of times. The three numbers are deliberately low: a practice that has only just opened is not expected to be busy, only real. Watch your progress from day one. Your workspace shows Startup Program — N of 3 met as soon as your grant starts, updated live — not revealed for the first time in a reminder email a week before it matters.

Missing the bar is not a cliff

If you have not met all three by the end of month 2, nothing is switched off and nothing is charged without warning:
  • You get the same 7-day and 3-day reminders as the $29.90 introductory trial, naming exactly how many of the three you have met and what is still missing.
  • From month 3 onward you are billed Essential’s normal price.
  • The 75% discount stays earnable for 3 further months. Meet the bar in any of them and the discounted rate starts from that month.
You can cancel at any time, the same as any other subscription.

One offer at a time

The Startup Program and the $29.90 introductory trial are alternatives, not a combination — an approved practice skips the paid trial, and someone who already took the paid trial can still apply here if it did not convert. A practice that has ever paid for a plan cannot use either.
