Step 1 of the setup checklist. Your plan decides which lab features exist — the turnaround-time dashboard, quality control, analyzer interfacing, referral commissions — and how many seats and sites you can open.

Start the trial first

Most new labs land on a page headed Let’s get your lab set up — “You’ve got full access for 7 days — no card needed.” Select Start for free. The toast reads You’re in! 🎉 and you have seven days of full access, with the trial running at Professional Lab level so you can try the turnaround dashboard and quality control before you commit. Some workspaces go straight to the plan comparison instead. Both are normal. If you reach the plan page without having used a trial, the same offer appears there as Try ClinikEHR Free for 7 Days, with Start 7-Day Free Trial and the footnote “No credit card required”. Once used, it shows Trial Already Used — the trial is once per workspace.

Pick a paid plan

1

Open the plan page

Go to Settings › Billing & Plans (“Subscription and payments”), or select Choose a paid subscription plan on the floating Setup checklist, which opens it directly. The page is headed Choose Your Plan — or Manage Your Subscription if you already have one. Three cards are shown: Starter, Professional and Business. Professional carries the Most Popular badge, and your current tier is marked Current Plan.
2

Compare on the feature bullets, not the price

Each card lists what it unlocks. Read the table below first — the difference between Starter and Professional is whether you can measure your own turnaround and run QC, which is not obvious from a price.
3

Select the tier

Select Select Starter, Select Professional or Select Business and complete checkout. Prices are shown in your workspace’s billing currency, which defaults to NGN for a Diagnostics workspace.
4

Confirm it took

Back on the plan page your tier now shows Current Plan, and the setup checklist ticks Choose a paid subscription plan.
Selecting a paid plan starts a recurring charge on the payment method you enter, and it recurs until you cancel. Do it once, from one browser tab — see Payment methods.

What each tier unlocks

On a plan that does not include a feature, the screen tells you which tier it belongs to rather than hiding it — “TAT dashboard is a Professional feature”, “QC management is a Professional feature”, “Analyzer interfacing is a Professional feature”, “Referral commissions is a Business feature”, “Advanced analytics is a Business feature”, “Owner dashboard is a Professional feature”.
Analyzer integration and quality control are still rolling out. The screens are there on Professional Lab and above; ask support what is live for your analyser model before you plan a go-live around it. See Analyzers and Quality control.

Seats and sites

Seats are included, not billed per head. Your plan sets a cap, and the invite that would exceed it is refused — you see You’ve used all {limit} seats on your plan. with Upgrade to {NextTier} to add more team members. and a View plans button. Nothing is charged per seat at any point. See Staff seats. Sites have their own allowances, counted separately for full laboratories and collection centres. See Set up your lab.

Check it worked

  • The plan page shows your tier as Current Plan.
  • Turnaround Time appears in the sidebar on Professional Lab and above.
  • The floating Setup checklist ticks Choose a paid subscription plan.

If something goes wrong

Sign out and back in so the new entitlement is picked up. If it persists, contact support with the time you paid.
A subscription that is neither active nor trialing collapses every feature gate to the free level, and paid features go with it. Your data is untouched — pick a plan and they return. See Change your plan.
The trial is once per workspace, not once per person, and it may have been started by whoever created the workspace. Choose a paid plan, or contact support.
Enterprise is not on the plan grid because it is priced per lab. Contact support.
Change it from the same page — see Change your plan.
