Where the checklist lives
Your lab has no Get Started entry in the sidebar. The checklist rides on every page instead, as a floating Setup pill in the corner showing {completed}/{total}. Open it and you get Getting Started, a {n}% complete bar, the seven steps with the next one to do at the top, and buttons to Minimize or Dismiss it. Steps matched to what you said you wanted are badged For you and gathered under ✨ Recommended for you. There is also a Refer a colleague — get 1 month free link. Progress updates live: finish a step anywhere in the app and the pill ticks without a refresh. The seven steps
The order is a suggestion rather than a dependency chain, with two exceptions. Pricing has to exist before a sample can be billed, and a patient has to exist before a sample can be attached to anything.
Step 5, Add your first reagent — “Track reagents and consumables so you never run a bench dry” — opens Reagents & Inventory. Add the reagents each test consumes and completing a run draws that stock down on its own. See Reagents and consumables.
Full lab or collection centre?
Every site is registered as one of two kinds, chosen under Site Type * when the workspace is created:- Full laboratory — testing on site — accessions, screens, results and reports.
- Collection center — samples drawn and referred to your lab — registers and dispatches specimens only. Accessioning, screening and reporting are disabled there and a banner on the bench screens says so.
What your plan decides
Diagnostics runs Starter Lab → Professional Lab → Business Lab → Enterprise.
Seats are included at no extra cost up to your plan’s cap — nothing is billed per seat, and the invite that would exceed the cap is refused with an offer of the next tier. See Staff seats.
