A membership is a recurring plan a patient subscribes to — a wellness programme, a chronic-care package, a retainer. ClinikEHR collects the payment each period and settles it to your own payout account, so you are not chasing the same people every month.

Connect payouts first

This is not optional and it is not something you can defer. Until your payout account is fully connected and able to accept charges, the Memberships screen shows Connect payouts to sell memberships and every create button is disabled. Which provider you use is decided by your clinic’s currency, not by preference: A half-finished Stripe connection is treated as no connection — the screen says “Finish Stripe onboarding (charges not yet enabled) to sell memberships.” Go back and complete it.

Create a plan and enrol someone

1

Start from a template

Select the option to create a plan and pick one of the supplied templates, or start from scratch. The plan form says what it is for: “Define a recurring plan your patients can subscribe to. Billing settles to your connected payout account.”
2

Set the price and period

Price the plan in your clinic’s currency and choose how often it renews. This is what the patient’s card is charged, unchanged, each period.
3

Add add-ons if you sell them

Use Sell add-on for extras on top of a plan. Add-ons need the Team plan — “Add-ons require the Team plan.” Everything else on this page works on Essential.
4

Enrol a member

Select Enroll member — “Subscribe a patient to a membership plan. They’ll be billed automatically to your connected payout account.” Use this for people who sign up at the desk. Everyone else signs themselves up on your public page.
Enrolling a member starts a recurring charge against their card. Confirm the plan and the price with them before you enrol — the first collection is not a preview.

Publish the public signup page

1

Choose the page address

Enter a Page address. Availability is checked as you type, so you know immediately whether the address is free.
2

Write the content

Headline, Subheadline, Intro (optional) and Footer note (optional) are what a prospective member reads. Success title and Success message are what they see after they have joined — use them to say what happens next, not just “thanks”.
3

Match your branding

Apply your clinic’s branding so the page does not look like it belongs to somebody else. See Branding.
4

Take it live

Flip the switch from Off to Live and save. To put the signup form on your own website instead, copy the widget or iframe snippet from the same page.

Check it worked

  • The Plans tab shows your plan with a count, and the create buttons are enabled rather than greyed out.
  • Your public page loads at the address you chose and shows the plan and its price.
  • After the first enrolment, the member appears under Members and the collection appears under Transactions.

If something goes wrong

Your payout account is not connected, or not yet able to accept charges. The banner names the exact reason. Fix it under Settings → Online Payments.
“Memberships require the Essential plan or higher. Upgrade your plan to sell memberships.” See Change your plan.
“Add-ons require the Team plan.” Plans themselves work on Essential.
“Only clinic owners and managers can manage memberships.” This one is not adjustable through per-person permissions.
Addresses are checked for format, for reserved words, and for uniqueness across every ClinikEHR workspace — so a plausible address may already be taken by somebody else. Try a more specific one.
Failed collections appear under Transactions. Use the collections manager to retry or to contact the member; a card that has expired needs the member to update it, not a retry.
