Your booking page is the public web page a client lands on to book with you. This tab builds it — how it looks, what it says, which services it sells, what it asks for, and whether it takes payment — with a live preview beside the editor that you can flip between desktop and mobile.

What this tab controls

The Settings tab’s Booking Settings card — “Configure how appointments can be booked through your page”: And the Payment Settings card — “Configure payment options and policies for your booking page”: With Require Upfront Payment on, clients pay the full price when booking. There is no deposit setting on this card: to take a deposit instead, or to charge for late cancellations and missed visits, set it on each service — see Deposits and cancellation fees. And the Booking policy card — your cancellation and deposit policy in your own words. Clients read it, with each service’s rules, and tick I have read and agree to this booking policy before they book a service that takes a deposit, is paid in full when booking, or has a cancellation or missed appointment fee. Select Save policy to save it; it is saved on its own, not with the page design, and each change starts a new version so you can tell which wording a client agreed to. Only the owner or a manager can change it. And the Card on file card — “Ask clients to save a card while they book, new and returning”: A card saved on the booking page goes on the client’s record — the same place Edit client shows cards and Auto Pay charges them. Nobody is charged when they save it. A card is saved only for a new client, or for a returning client who confirmed their email with a code: when someone types the email of an existing client without confirming it, the booking goes on that client’s record for you to check, but the card is not saved to it, and your new-booking notice says so. If your practice has no ready Stripe account, the three choices stay locked to Off and the card tells you why, with a link to Online Payments.

Set it up

1

Set your page address

On Design, scroll to Page Settings and enter a Page Slug. A green tick means it is yours; a warning means it is taken, reserved, or badly formatted — you cannot publish until it clears.
2

Add the services you sell

On Services, select Add to Page on each service you want bookable. The button changes to Added to Page. Use Make Featured on the one or two you want at the top.
3

Decide whether clients can book several services at once

On Services, in Several services in one visit, turn on Clients can book several services in one visit and choose Most services in one booking (2 to 10). It saves as soon as you change it. Leave it off if every visit is one service.
4

Write the page

On Content, set the headline and description a visitor reads first. Watch the preview beside you; switch it to mobile, because most clients arrive on a phone.
5

Turn booking on and set your window

On Settings, confirm Allow Online Booking is on, set Clinic Timezone to where you actually work, and set Advance Booking Days. Write a Booking Confirmation Message so people know what happens next.
6

Decide about payment

Leave Accept Payments off if you take money at the desk. To charge at booking, turn it on, turn on Require Upfront Payment, and choose the Payment Provider. To take a deposit rather than the full price, set it on the service, and write your Booking policy.
7

Decide about a card on file

On Settings, in Card on file, choose Optional to let clients save a card while they book, or Required to make it a condition of booking online. Leave it Off if you do not keep cards.
8

Save, then publish

Save stores your work without changing what the public sees. Publish makes the page live; the button then reads Unpublish.

What changes once you save

Publish is what puts the page on the internet. Until you select it, your page address returns a not-found error to anyone who visits — saving alone changes nothing publicly. Selecting Unpublish takes it straight back down; existing appointments are untouched. Three things must all be true before any booking is possible: the page is published, Allow Online Booking is on, and the service has been added on the Services tab. A published page with no services shows a client nothing they can pick. These are checked again every time a client books, so a booking for a service you have taken off the page, or made after you turn online booking off, is refused — even from a page a client left open. Opening hours are not on this tab. A published page with services can still show no times, because times come from Booking settings. That split is the single most common surprise here. Turning on Require Upfront Payment changes the booking flow itself: the client is sent to a payment step before the appointment is created, and a booking that tries to skip the payment is refused. The payment always goes to your own connected Stripe account — or your Paystack account if you bill in Naira — decided by your billing currency. This needs that account connected and ready first — if it is not, the card shows “Stripe not connected” (or “Paystack not connected” on a Nigerian-currency practice) with a link to Online Payments, no provider can be selected, and clients book without paying until it is ready. The same rule applies to clients booking from their client portal. Card on file adds a step after the booking questions. With Optional, a client can add a card or skip; with Required, the booking is refused until a card is saved — or, for a returning client who confirmed their email, until they choose the card already on their record. The card is typed into the payment provider’s own secure fields. If your Stripe account is disconnected later, the page stops asking for a card rather than refusing everyone. Several services in one visit adds an Add to this visit list beside the calendar. A client who ticks more than one service books one appointment: the times are added together, only start times long enough for the whole visit are offered, the prices are added together, and one provider who offers every chosen service is booked. If no provider offers them all, no times are shown for that combination. The appointment lists every service — in your diary, on the invoice, and in the confirmation and reminder emails. See Booking several services. Advance Booking Days trims the far end of the calendar, and a booking for a date past it is refused. It applies to the date the client picks; the later visits of a repeating booking follow that service’s own booking horizon. It does not change anything already booked. Booking policy changes only what clients read and agree to from now on. A booking keeps the wording and the amounts the client agreed to.

Check it worked

Open your page address in a private browser window — as a visitor, not as yourself. You should see your branding, your featured services, and a calendar offering real times. Book a test appointment and confirm it lands in Appointments and that your Booking Confirmation Message is what the client sees.

Common issues

It has been saved but never published. Select Publish. If publishing is blocked, the Page Slug on the Design tab has not cleared its check.
The page is fine; availability is missing. See Booking settings — you need an active schedule covering those weekdays, and no special date or blocking calendar feed over them.
No services have been added to the page. On Services, select Add to Page on at least one, then save.
No single provider offers both services, or no stretch of free time is long enough for the whole visit. Check which providers offer each service in Appointment services, or ask the client to book the services as separate visits.
Nothing is connected for your currency yet. Connect one under Online Payments first — the card links straight there. Until then, leave Require Upfront Payment off and take payment at the desk.
The choices unlock once a Stripe account is connected and ready to take charges, under Online Payments. Practices that bill in Naira take payments through Paystack, which cannot save a card without charging it, so card on file is not offered to them yet.
Serving the page from your own web address is a Team and Enterprise feature. On Solo plans the page stays on its ClinikEHR address, which works exactly the same. See Change your plan.
Changes reach the public page on save, but an unsaved edit only exists in the preview. Look for the Save Changes label on the save button — that wording means you have unsaved work.
Day-to-day use of the page — sharing the link, reading bookings, handling deposits — is covered in the booking page guide.
