Sales is the record of what your till has done. It is where you look up a receipt, check the day’s takings, and see which products are actually moving.

The screen

The header reads Sales Dashboard — “Track and analyze your pharmacy sales performance” — with a period select (Today, Last 7 Days, This Month, All Time) and two buttons: Debtors and New Sale. Everything below the period select obeys it. Change the period and every tile, chart and table on the page re-reads. Four tabs: Overview, Recent Sales, Products and Analytics.

Overview

Four tiles across the top — Total Revenue, Total Sales, Avg Sale Value and Items Sold — then the Net position card, then the charts.

The Net position card

Four figures that make one number honest: Revenue on its own is not profit, and a pharmacy that reads only the top tile will believe a good week happened when it did not. Expenses are the line you control — the card is only as truthful as what you record on the Expenses page.

The charts

Sales Trend plots takings over the period. Payment Methods breaks the same money down by tender. Recent Sales is a quick list of the latest transactions.

Recent Sales

The Sales History table — Sale #, Date & Time, Customer, Items, Payment, Amount and Status — with Search or scan receipt… and a status filter (All Status, Completed, Pending, Cancelled, Refunded). The search box takes a scan as well as typing: point a scanner at the barcode on a customer’s receipt and the sale comes straight up. See Set up a barcode scanner.
A sale captured while the till was offline carries an Offline badge. It is a real, completed sale that reached the server later — the badge tells you the receipt the customer holds shows a provisional number rather than the one in this table. See Selling when the internet is down.
Refunds, voids and amendments to a past sale are worked from here and are covered in Returns, voids and amendments.

Products

The Product sales card, filterable by product type, showing Products, Units sold, Line revenue and Margin. Line revenue is the value of the lines themselves — it excludes sale-level tax, surcharges and whole-sale discounts, so it will not add up to Total Revenue and is not meant to. Margin appears only where a cost was recorded when the stock was received. No lot cost, no margin — the column will not guess.

What some people cannot see, and why

Two figures on this page are permission-gated, and they behave differently on purpose:

Cost and margin

Without View cost prices and margin, the cost and margin columns read Hidden — needs authorisation. The rest of the Products tab still works.

Net position

Without View the net position, the whole card is gone — not zeroed, not blanked. A card showing 0 would be read as “we made nothing”, which is a lie. Absent says “not yours to see”.
Both are set per person by an owner or manager — see Staff permissions. A cashier reaches POS and Sales and nothing else, which is deliberate.

There is no Export button on this page

People hunt for one. Exports live in two other places:
  • Reports and the executive dashboard — the Reports card on Executive exports top products, sales, customers and payment methods.
  • Analytics — every report in the workbench offers Export with a CSV or Excel copy of the view you are looking at.

Debtors

Debtors opens the list of customers with an unsettled balance from a part-paid sale. Clearing one against a prepaid balance is done from the customer’s own profile — see Money on account.

Ring up a sale

Track expenses

Returns and voids
