To do is one list of everything your clinic is still waiting for from you, whether it is a form to fill in or a document to sign. Select To do in the list on the left of the portal, just under Dashboard. Before this page existed, the only thing the portal counted was documents waiting for a signature. If your clinic had sent you a form, nothing in the portal said so. To do counts both.

What you see

The heading is To do, with a count of how many things are waiting. Each item shows what it is, which clinic sent it, and — where there is one — when it is due. Items are grouped:
  • Before your appointment — anything your clinic has attached to a visit, with the date and time of that visit. Times are shown in your clinic’s local time, and the page says so, so a time still means the same thing if you are away.
  • Anytime — everything else, with the most urgent at the top.
Each item carries a status: A due date is shown under the item when your clinic set one. If it has already passed, it reads Was due and is highlighted, so a late item is never quietly mixed in with the rest. Some items also say Link expires with a date. That is not the same as the due date: it is when the link to that item stops working. An item can be due on Friday and its link can still work for a while after that. When the two are the same moment, only the due date is shown. If nothing is waiting, the page says You are all caught up.
If the list cannot be loaded, the page says so rather than showing an empty list. “We could not load your to-do list just now” and “you have nothing to do” are different things, and the page will never show you the second when it means the first.

Open something

Everything on the list opens from here — you do not need to find your clinic’s email first.
  • Fill in opens a form.
  • Review and sign opens a document to sign. Your name and signature are collected on the signing page in the usual way — see Read and sign documents.
A form or document that needs more than one person to sign opens once it is your turn. If someone else has to sign first, it will not open yet. If an item cannot be opened — for example the clinic has closed the form, the time to sign has run out, or it is not your turn yet — you come back to this page with a note: “That item could not be opened, or is no longer available. If your clinic still needs it, please ask them to send it again.”
If a link your clinic emailed you stops working after you have opened the same document here, that is expected — opening it here can give you a fresh signing link in its place. What you had already filled in is kept. Carry on from this page.

Forms you can fill in any time

Some forms are offered to every patient of a clinic rather than sent to one person. They are listed under Available forms, below the things waiting on you, each with the clinic that offers it and, where there is one, the date to finish by. Nobody is waiting on these, so they are not counted in the number at the top and are never shown as late. Select Fill in to open one. If you start one and come back later, you will find it under To do. Once you have sent your answers, a form that takes one answer from each person leaves the list. A form your clinic lets you fill in more than once — a weekly check-in, for example — stays, and says when you last filled it in. Selecting Fill in again starts a fresh copy; your earlier answers are kept as they were. A form stops being listed when the clinic closes it.

What you have finished

Under Completed is everything you have already dealt with, newest first, across every clinic you are registered with: A document you signed has a Download button beside it. Select it to save a copy of the signed document to your device. A form you filled in has no copy to download, and nothing you declined, that expired or that your clinic cancelled can be downloaded.

More than one clinic

If you are a patient at more than one clinic, To do shows items from all of them together, and each item names the clinic that sent it. You do not have to sign in separately to find out whether another clinic is waiting for something.

If the page is not there

To do is hidden when your clinic has switched off document sharing in the portal — the same setting that hides Documents. Your clinic will send paperwork another way.
