The **Pickups** tab decides what your pharmacy asks when someone collects medicine: how often the privacy notice is acknowledged, the notice itself, your own yes-or-no questions, and whether a customer may sign on their own phone. Each card saves on its own.

<Path steps={['Settings', 'Pickups']} />

## What this tab controls

| Card | Control | What it does |
| - | - | - |
| **Privacy notice acknowledgment** | **Once, and again when the notice changes** | The default. The customer acknowledges at their first pickup, and again after you publish a new version |
| | **At every pickup** | "The patient is asked each time medicine is collected." |
| **Questions at pickup** | The default questions | Counselling offered, and who is collecting. Marked **Always asked**; they can't be removed |
| | **Add a question** | Adds your own yes-or-no question. Turn on **Must be answered** to make it required |
| | **Edit**, **Move up**, **Move down**, **Remove** | Change the wording, the order, or remove one of your questions |
| **Remote signing** | **Allow signing links** | Lets staff send the customer a link to sign on their own phone |
| | **A link works for** | **1 hour**, **24 hours**, **3 days** or **7 days** |
| **Your privacy notice** | **Publish your privacy notice** / **Publish a new version** | Write the notice, give a link to your website copy, or both |

## Set it up

<Steps>
  <Step title="Publish your privacy notice">
    Under **Your privacy notice**, select **Publish your privacy notice**. Enter the **Notice text**, a **Link to the notice on your website (optional)**, or both, and select **Publish**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose how often it is acknowledged">
    Under **Privacy notice acknowledgment**, choose **Once, and again when the notice changes** or **At every pickup**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your own questions">
    Under **Questions at pickup**, select **Add a question**, enter the **Question**, turn on **Must be answered** if it is required, and select **Add question**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide on signing links">
    Under **Remote signing**, turn **Allow signing links** on or off, and choose how long a link works.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What changes once you save

* **The pickup sheet** at the till and on **Awaiting pickup** asks the new questions, in the order you set, from the next pickup someone opens. See [Record a prescription pickup at the till](/pharmacy/pos/pickups).
* **Publishing a notice** creates a new version. With **Once, and again when the notice changes**, every customer is asked again at their next pickup. Until any notice is published, nobody is asked to acknowledge anything.
* **Earlier records do not change.** A pickup keeps the exact wording of each question and the notice version that was shown when it was signed. Editing or removing a question never rewrites an earlier answer.
* **Removing a question** only stops it being asked from now on.

## Check it worked

Open a pickup from **Awaiting pickup** on the **Sales** screen. Your questions appear under **Questions from this clinic**, and the **Privacy notice** section appears when the customer is due to acknowledge.
